Employee mobile application
Privacy notice
The OctoHR employee mobile application is provided to employees of companies that use OctoHR. Your employer controls your employment data. OctoHR processes that data on your employer's behalf to provide the application.
Information handled by the app
- Account and identity information, such as your name and phone number, used to connect you to your employer's workspace.
- Employment information made available by your employer, including onboarding, shifts, attendance, leave, payslips, and documents.
- Documents you choose to capture or upload for your HR team.
- A push notification token, device platform, and app version for notifications, security, and support.
The app does not request location, contacts, microphone access, or advertising identifiers, and it does not contain advertising trackers.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate you, show your own company-scoped employment records, let you complete enabled employee actions, deliver notifications, secure the service, and provide support. OctoHR does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Permissions
Notification access is optional. Camera, photo, and file access are requested only when you choose to capture or attach a document. You can continue to use the in-app inbox if notifications are disabled.
Retention and your choices
Employment data is retained according to your employer's policies and applicable law. You can sign out, manage notifications, and submit an account-deletion request from Settings. Because your employer is the data controller, deletion requests are sent to its HR team for review against employment-record obligations.
Security
Session credentials are stored using the device's secure keystore. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and access is governed by company scope, permissions, and enabled modules.
Contact
For questions about employment records or privacy rights, contact your employer's HR team. For help using the application, see OctoHR Support.
